What You Can Expect in Supervision

I offer professional, warm, and highly supportive clinical supervision for pre-licensed therapists in Tennessee who are actively pursuing their LPC-MHSP (Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider) and/or LMFT (Licensed Marital and Family Therapist) licensure, either as a primary or supplemental supervisor.

My supervision approach is holistic, focusing deeply on the Person of the Therapist (POT)—helping you understand and utilize your unique self in the clinical process—while also providing comprehensive practical guidance.

In our sessions, you will have the opportunity to delve into:

  • Person of the Therapist (POT) Exploration: Deepening self-awareness to enhance your clinical effectiveness and prevent burnout.

  • Case Consultation: Detailed review and strategic planning for your current caseload.

  • Peer Connection: Opportunities to meet new colleagues and expand your professional network.

  • Community Resource Knowledge: Learning about valuable resources available to your clients in the community.

  • Affirming & Inclusive Support: Culturally competent support and consultation for working with diverse caseloads, including a Brave Space to staff GSM (Gender, Sexual, and Minority) and other marginalized clients.

  • Experiential Practice: Opportunities to learn and practice Expressive Arts, Somatic, and Ecotherapy interventions.

  • Professional Development: Practical guidance on how to navigate private practice, credentialing, and insurance billing.

  • Wellness & Support: Dedicated time for self-care, stress management, and support while balancing work and studying for licensing exams.
